  • 1/2 small chili (red or green), sliced
  • 1 small clove garlic, sliced

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 (15.5oz) can S&W® Garbanzos (drained, rinsed)
  • 1/2 small chili (red or green), sliced
  • 1 small clove garlic, sliced

Directions

In small saucepan, toast seeds over medium heat 1 to 2 minutes or until fragrant, shaking frequently. Stir in vinegar and sugar. Heat until sugar dissolves. Place beans into 2-cup glass jar, tucking chili slices and garlic along sides of jar. Pour brine over beans; top off with a little water to cover beans. Seal with lid; turn upside down to mix water with brine. Refrigerate at least 24 hours. Store in refrigerator up to 3 weeks.

Tip: Use these spicy flavorful beans in any kind of salad – green, pasta; or serve them as a condiment, like pickles or olives.
