Over 15g of Protein
In large saucepan, cook bacon over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp, stirring frequently; reduce heat. With slotted spoon, remove bacon and set aside. Remove all but 1 tablespoon of the bacon drippings. Add onion and celery to pan. Cook 3 minutes; stir in garlic and pepper. Cook 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Mix broth and flour with wire whisk; stir into pan until blended. Stir in clam juice; bring to a boil and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in half-and-half, beans and clams. Cook 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Add a little reserved clam liquid for desired consistency. Top each serving with reserved bacon and sliced green onions.
Tip: You can substitute 2 (20oz) cans of whole baby clams for the diced clams if desired.
