In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp. With slotted spoon, remove bacon to paper towels to drain. Discard all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon drippings. Add onion, apple and bell pepper to skillet. Cook 5 minutes or until onion is tender, stirring frequently. Stir in ketchup, apple cider, brown sugar, molasses, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 4 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in beans and bacon. Simmer 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Tip: Apple adds a sweet-tart flavor to these quick and easy “baked” beans – no need to heat the oven!
